Apple iPhone 6 Price, Specs and More In Smartphone News
On September 9, Apple had a big reveal – they released a number of new products and announced software updates.
From the iPhone 6 to the iPhone 6 Plus, the Apple Watch and iOS 8, it was a busy day for all things Apple.
Which got us thinking. Which is the best iPhone released?
As with all our reviews, we focus on the most important aspects – price, service and features.
So What Is The iPhone 6 Price?
Starting at $199 for a 16 GB with a standard 2-year contract, you’ll find that the iPhone 6 price is reasonable and increases by $100 dollars while quadrupling it’s memory and GB. Meaning that a 64 GB smartphone will cost you $299 and a 128 GB phone will run for $399.
The iPhone 6 Plus will have an initial starting point of $299 per 16 GB and increase by $100 per increase in GB as well.
Some Important Upgrades Of The New iPhones
A lot of what Apple reveled are serious upgrades from their previous iPhones.
Here are some of the more notable new features:
- Improved processor – The A8 is a much faster processor than anything else out on the market right now.
- The iPhone 6 Plus has improved upon the idea of ‘battery life’. With up to 80 hours of audio play and over 16 days in standby mode, the larger iPhone 6 is even more efficient than it’s smaller cousins, the iPhone 5s and iPhone 5c.
- Apple Pay – Apple reveals a new electronic wallet – to pay through your cell phone at current merchants from Whole Foods, Walgreens, Walmart and others. And it’s completely secure with it’s fingerprint sensor passcode.
Additional Smartphone News By Apple
Apple also revealed the release date for their new iOs 8 and it will be downloadable in late September. In the typical Apple way, the new updates will overhaul it’s entire Operating System and will reenergize all the features and options they offer.
The Operating System will come packaged in all new iPhones and devices and will be available for free download for existing phones and iPads.
Additionally unveiled today was the Apple Watch, to be shipped in early 2015. It will be customizable from sporty to fashionable and will run seamlessly with it’s own version of iOS 8.
Pricing begins at $349 per watch and style.
From $199 and increasing modestly, if you’re in the market for a new smartphone then Apple has done you a huge favor in their iPhone 6 price structure.
