Finally! The iPhone 7 Launch Is Here (and What You Should Know)!
Today marks the actual iPhone 7 launch. Never mind the presale, that sold existing stock out in minutes, today, Friday, September 16 is the REAL release. That’s because, with limited supply, you can get your new iPhone from stores, as well as delivery.
Apple Iphone 7 PLUS 128GB Unlocked GSM (Bands 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 8, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30) – US warranty (Black)
And to celebrate the release here’s a few things we think you should know about the new phone.
- There are two versions of the new phone, much like the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus, the “7” model comes in the standard size and “plus” model.
– The standard iPhone 7 has a 4.7-inch display where as the iPhone 7 Plus has a 5.5-inch display.
-12 MP camera and with the Plus model having a 12 MP “wide-angle” and telephoto camera built in.
– Both are available in Jet-Black, Black, Silver, Gold, and Rose-Gold.
- Retina HD display
- “Stereo” speaker quality (yeah, right!)
- Splash and Water resistant (finally!)
- New, incredibly fast A10 Fusion chip processor to stream HD and 4K video, and lightning fast gaming speeds.
Along with sleeker designs and software upgrades, one of the nicer features of this iteration of the best smartphone on the market is the tighter antenna and camera depth hardware.
But most of all, the design of the new iPhone 7 and Plus model has done away with the earphone jack, and users now have two options to use headphones.
The first choice is to plug in the earphones through a lightning port adaptor (or provided dongle for other types of headsets).
The second is going wireless through Bluetooth technology. Anticipating a huge interest in Bluetooth, along with the iPhone 7 launch is the introduction of the new “Airpods” wireless earphones from Apple.
They boast incredible sound, automatic pairing with any Apple device, a “W1” chip that recognizes when you’re talking and activates the built-in microphones to record your voice. The chip also promises to filter out any unnecessary noise for crisp sound capture. The new “Airpods” are rechargeable every 24 hours with the accompanying case.
So How Is The iPhone 7 Launch Going?
According to reports, the line-ups outside traditional brick-and-mortar Apple stores are underwhelming. Yes, you still get fanboys lining up days ahead of time, but with the online pre-sales cutting into the typical route, the lines and queues in front of stores that we’re used to seeing, appears to be a dying trend.
Another unfortunate thing about the launch day was that as announced, there would be no inventory of the iPhone 7 Plus on store shelves. Even though this was announced ahead of time, there were some fanboys really disappointed to find that they had waited for the Plus version, only to be out of luck. Additionally, the jet-black version of the iPhone 7 wouldn’t be available in stores, only online.
Regardless, whether it’s out of the model you want, or doesn’t have the color available in stores, compared to the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 recall, the iPhone 7 Launch seems to be going rather smooth.
